Emily Pohl is a graduate of Siena Heights University with a degree in Professional Communications. She has decided to take her passion for writing and apply it to public and community relations. Emily hopes to continue pursuing a career as a public relations professional in Michigan.
During college, Emily spent six months working for St. Vincent Catholic Charities, a local non-profit and the main refugee resettlement location for the greater Lansing area. Other work experience as an intern editor for a nationally published magazine has helped Emily hone her skills in writing and review. Before fully pursuing her passion for writing and public policy through internships, Emily worked for the State of Michigan as a part-time assistant in order to gain hands-on experience of the operations of state government.
Emily stays involved in the community by volunteering for local charities, attending CMPRSA events, and constantly seeking to broaden her writing and social media skills through reading and discussion.
