Bridgette Bauer joins Martin Waymire as Assistant Communications Strategist

LANSING, Mich. – Martin Waymire, a Lansing-based public relations and digital marketing firm, today announced the hiring of Bridgette Bauer as an assistant communications strategist.

Bauer is a recent graduate of Michigan State University’s James Madison College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social relations and policy with a minor in public relations and served as the MSU Public Relations Student Society of America’s (PRSSA) director of communications.

Bauer started at Martin Waymire in May 2021 as a student practitioner, and gained experience working with clients while learning new earned and digital media strategies that prepared her for her career after graduation. In 2022, she was named Student Practitioner of the Year by the Central Michigan Public Relations Society of America and has already displayed her passion for making Michigan a better place.

“Bridgette has already proven to be a valuable member of our team after spending a year with us as a student practitioner, and we are thrilled to bring her on in a new role to assist in client public relations and digital media needs,” said Martin Waymire Partner Andie Poole, APR. “She is well-equipped to serve our clients who are working to make Michigan a better place.”

Before starting at Martin Waymire in 2021, Bauer strengthened her writing skills as a student writer for the Broad College of Business and gained digital experience as a community outreach intern with Recycle Ann Arbor, a nonprofit that helps operate all of Ann Arbor, Michigan’s zero waste efforts.
