Martin Waymire earned 12 awards — 11 for the firm overall and one individual honor at this year’s Central Michigan Public Relations Society of America’s (CMPRSA) PACE Awards ceremony on May 4. The annual event celebrates the accomplishments of public relations professionals in the greater Lansing area. Award entries were judged by the Utah Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Martin Waymire was highlighted for their outstanding client work in nine different categories, including:
- First-place Pinnacle Award for Social Marketing for the I Vaccinate campaign. The clients are the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and the Franny Strong Foundation. This award was also chosen as the evening’s Campaign People’s Choice winner.
- First-place Pinnacle Award for Feature Stories that tackled the rise in problem gambling in Michigan. The client is the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).
- First-place Pinnacle Award for Editorial/Op-Ed Column for raising awareness on Michigan’s Road Funding Crisis. The client is the Michigan Infrastructure & Transportation Association (MITA). This award was also chosen as the evening’s Tactic People’s Choice winner.
- First-place Pinnacle Award for Media/Press Kits for the Anderson Economic Group Proactive Media Outreach. The client is the Anderson Economic Group.
- First-place Pinnacle Award for Video Programs for winning full practice authority for Michigan’s nurse practitioners. The client is the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners.
- First-place Pinnacle Award for Social Media for the I Vaccinate: Sharing Real Family Stories Through Social Media. The clients are the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and the Franny Strong Foundation.
- First-place Pinnacle Award for Newsletters for the I Vaccinate Partner E-Newsletter Launch. The clients are the Michigan Department of Health and Human Serices (MDHHS) and the Franny Strong Foundation.
- Award of Excellence for Innovative Tactics for building support for Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) expansion for Michigan’s working families. The client is the Michigan EITC Coalition.
- Award of Excellence for Research for the Michigan Chamber Signature Event Research for the Michigan Chamber of Commerce.
B Wyne was honored with the Student Practitioner of the Year at the awards ceremony. They have been a student practitioner for Martin Waymire since August of 2022 and have played a key role in supporting clients and the development and execution of the agency’s diversity, equity and inclusion marketing strategy.
