We are thrilled to welcome four new members to the Martin Waymire team! Read more about the backgrounds and experiences our new “PACE Makers” bring, including a recent graduate from the University of Michigan and three driven student practitioners, to serve our clients who are making Michigan a better place below.
Hannah Lupi

Hannah Lupi joins Martin Waymire as an assistant account executive and a recent graduate of the University of Michigan with dual bachelor’s degrees in communications and political science. Hannah is passionate about the people and communities throughout Michigan.
Her previous experience includes working with various organizations across the state, including the Michigan Retailers Association’s Buy Nearby campaign and the Michigan Democratic Party. She also worked for a locally owned boutique in Ann Arbor, providing digital marketing and social media management.
Hannah comes to Martin Waymire from Destination Ann Arbor, the tourism marketing organization and visitors bureau for Washtenaw County, where she learned how using strategic communication, community engagement and public relations can bring people and communities together.
Hannah was born and raised in East Lansing, Michigan, and is thrilled to be back in her home town and close to her family’s pup, Lily. She’s an iced coffee enthusiast and a lover of all things #PureMichigan. In her free time, she pets every dog she sees, lives at coffee shops and is constantly on the search for restaurants with great vegan food!
Hometown: East Lansing, Michigan
Favorite part of working at Martin Waymire so far: Everyone here is so passionate, knowledgeable, incredibly talented — and welcoming! I truly can’t imagine a better place to learn and grow while working on important campaigns with our various client teams. Oh, and it’s a dog-friendly office, need I say more?!
What you love about Michigan: I’m a born and raised Michigander, growing up in East Lansing and spending my college years in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan. Living in this great state my whole life, I’ve had my share of experiences with our two seasons — winter and construction. Michigan is great because you get to enjoy a little bit of everything, all within one state. From all of the beautiful, sandy beaches to the ski hills up north, from the beautiful colors of the changing fall leaves to the pure white shimmery snows, Michigan has so much to offer statewide. I love #PureMichigan and can’t imagine a better place to live, work and play!
What she’s currently listening to: Lizzo, on repeat. I’m obsessed!

Sydney Naseef

Sydney Naseef is a senior at Michigan State University majoring in journalism with a minor in public relations.
Before coming to Martin Waymire, Sydney was the communications and public relations intern at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, where she supported the team’s mission to market Michigan as the ideal place to live, work and play. Sydney also has worked as a marketing and events intern at Hour Detroit Magazine and was an editor for MSU student yearbook, the Red Cedar Log.
Sydney is a member of Alpha Chi Omega, where she discovered her passion for helping survivors of domestic and sexual violence – the sorority’s national philanthropy. She also is involved in MSU’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter.
Sydney wants to use her skills to help people and spur change, a passion she pursues each day at Martin Waymire. Outside of her goal to work after graduation for a public relations agency, her dream is to own two corgi puppies – brothers, of course.
Hometown: Lake Orion, Michigan
Favorite part of working at Martin Waymire so far: I love that I’m able to sharpen my graphic design skills for many of the client teams I’m working on. This is one area of digital and print that I’ve always been interested in pursuing, and Martin Waymire is allowing me to develop that talent and apply it in the real world.
What you love most about Michigan: How easy it is to travel from one beautiful place to the next! Whether it’s a trip to Detroit or up to Mackinac Island, it’s all just a few short hours away.
What she’s currently listening to: She loves a little bit of everything, but you’ll usually find her listening to alternative bands such as The 1975, Bleachers and Wallows.

Michael Duke

Michael Duke is a senior at Michigan State University majoring in journalism with a concentration in sports reporting and a minor in public relations.
Before joining Martin Waymire, Michael held several positions at The State News, including men’s basketball beat reporter and sports editor. Michael also worked as an undergraduate communications assistant in MSU’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Michael is a member of MSU’s National Association of Black Journalists and National Society of Collegiate Scholars chapters. His interests include rooting for Detroit sports teams (despite some dismal records) and staying fit by going to the gym and shooting hoops.
Hometown: Dearborn, Michigan
Favorite part of working at Martin Waymire so far: I’m on the Michigan Association of State Universities’ Get MI Degree account. Being able to listen to the college students’ stories and hear them talk about financial aid, scholarships and their passion to pursue a higher education is a pleasure. As a fellow student, I can relate to them.
What you love most about Michigan: Michigan is truly a beautiful and fun place to live. The outdoors is aesthetically-pleasing and there are a ton of fun outdoor activities to do, especially during the summer.
What he’s currently listening to: The music genre I listen to largely depends on my mood at the time, but for the most part, I listen to a lot of throwback hip-hop and R&B.

Nick Schuller

Nick Schuller is a senior at Michigan State University majoring in advertising management with a minor in public relations.
Before working at Martin Waymire, Nick honed his writing skills as a PR intern at Jackson-based RjM Advertising. He also interned with MSU Tip of the Spear, giving him a platform to spread his love for Michigan State.
Nick currently is the production manager at MSU Greenline, where he helps lead a fundraising effort comprised of over 60 students.
In his free time, you can find Nick socializing with friends, catching up on homework or reading a good work of fiction (most likely Game of Thrones).
Hometown: Saginaw, Michigan
Favorite part of working at Martin Waymire so far: Everyone at MW truly cares about my development. The office’s open-floor layout makes it easy to find help; there’s so much to learn from everyone on the team! It’s also pretty cool that people can bring their dogs to work.
What you love most about Michigan: The best part about living in Michigan is getting to experience all four seasons to their fullest. Though our winters can get brutal, the first few days of spring shine that much brighter because of it—and don’t get me started on Michigan’s gorgeous fall scenery.
What he’s currently listening to: Igor – Tyler, the Creator
