Katie Jesaitis

Public Affairs Manager

Katie Jesaitis joined Martin Waymire as a graduate of Michigan State University with dual bachelor’s degrees in political science and history. Driven to impact communities through her work in the education, healthcare, and technology and mobility spaces, Katie works every day to encourage community growth and development here in Michigan.

As a public affairs manager, Katie brings more than ten years of experience in strategic communications, public policy, political advocacy and messaging, and coalition building to her clients at Martin Waymire. Her efforts have led to successful enrollment and participation campaigns for the Hospitality Training Institute of Michigan, encouraging Michiganders to build the critical skills that make hospitality a leading, $44.6 billion dollar industry for Michigan. Katie also works with the Steelcase Foundation, Hemlock Semiconductor, Launch Michigan, and the Virginia Association of Nurse Anesthetists, among others.

Prior to joining Martin Waymire, Katie spent six years in the office of United States Representative Debbie Dingell, where she worked on the issues that mattered most to Washtenaw and Wayne County residents. Katie has worked on political campaigns at all levels, and has built coalitions of support around environmental issues, addressed domestic and sexual violence in communities and on campus, and worked with industry leaders as they chose to invest and develop here in Michigan.

Katie serves as a director on the Michigan History Foundation board as well as the Friends of the Turner Dodge board and volunteers for the Lansing Junior League and Children Trust Michigan. In her free time, you can find Katie exploring Michigan, reading a great book or planning her next adventure.
