Elizabeth Battiste, APR, is a skilled communications professional with experience in state government, higher education, digital strategy and organized labor. As a senior account executive with Martin Waymire, Elizabeth brings to the table a solid public policy background, exceptional strategic social media and digital marketing knowledge, project management, event planning and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Elizabeth headed Martin Waymire’s successful work with the national award winning Voters Not Politicians campaign, the 2018 statewide ballot proposal reforming redistricting in Michigan, and now is assisting the organization as it implements the new constitutional amendment. Other clients she has worked with include the Michigan Health & Hospital Association, Lansing Board of Water & Light, Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning, ACLU of Michigan, Michigan Prevails and Michigan Consensus Policy Project. She received her Accreditation in Public Relations from the Public Relations Society of America in September 2019.

Prior to joining Martin Waymire, Elizabeth worked at the Michigan Senate, where she was a digital media strategist and developed and implemented a central digital program for the Democratic caucus. She previously served as director of operations and digital strategy for Change Media Group, a digital consulting firm in Lansing she helped grow from the ground up, and as digital director for the Michigan State AFL-CIO.

Elizabeth was born in Harbor Springs and lived in Durango, Colorado, for seven years and relocated to Rochester Hills before attending Michigan State University. Elizabeth now resides in Lansing’s Westside Neighborhood with her adorable dog, Benji. In her free time she enjoys riding her bike, skiing, volunteering, entertaining guests and spending time on Lake Michigan.
